The philosophy of our preschool program is children learn best by exploring the world around them. Through active exploration they develop positive feelings, establish friendships and increase fine and gross motor skills. Our program provides the opportunity for your child to grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually while learning many new and interesting things.

Our Arizona state licensed preschool program offers low student to teacher ratios so each child has the opportunity for individual attention.

The three and four year old Adventures in Learning program focuses on social interacting through shared story time, creative play and group activities including art, music and movement. The children are encouraged to interact with other children and adults.

The four and five year old ABC Explorers program encourages children to develop their fine motor, listening and social skills. Group times and circle times include opportunities for singing, art, music, movement, creative play, stories, and sharing. In addition, we focus on introductory levels of the alphabet, numbers and phonemic awareness.  Details on each preschool program is accessible through the City's online registration website.

We accept new enrollments any time during the school year providing classroom space is available. You will be required to provide copies of your child's birth certificate and immunization record prior to enrollment. A parent/teacher conference is scheduled after the first month's tuition is paid and the child is entered on the roster. All paperwork and parent/teacher conferences must be completed before your child can start school. Classes start in late August and are held regularly through the third week of May. The City of Litchfield Park does not discriminate enrollments based on race or religion.

Online registration is not available for the Preschool program. Parents are encouraged to visit the City's online registration website for program details and contact the Recreation Center office at 623-935-9040 with program questions. Prerequisite: Instructor approval is required for all enrollments.
