Puffers - American Red Cross Level 1

Participants will also further develop simultaneous arm and leg actions on front and back and foundation for future strokes will be established. Ages 3 to 6.
Floaters - American Red Cross Level 2
Participants will continue to work on basic skills learned and progress to glide and float without support and recover to a vertical position. They will also further develop simultaneous and alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back, laying the foundation for future strokes. Ages 4 to 8.
Strokers - American Red Cross Level 3
This class expands and increases proficiency in previous skills learned. Participants will learn and practice survival and learn to swim front crawl and elementary backstroke at rudimentary proficiency levels. Participants will be introduced to scissors and dolphin kicks, learn rules for headfirst entries and begin to learn to enter the water headfirst from a seated position. Ages 4 to 10.
Swimmers - American Red Cross Level 4
Participants will improve and increase their endurance by swimming the strokes learned (front crawl, elementary backstroke) for longer distances and more proficiency. Participants will add arm actions with their scissors kick to perform sidestroke, learn back crawl and butterfly, and perform a simple open turn at a wall. Ages 7 to 14.
Racers - American Red Cross Level 5 & 6 (Advanced Swimming)
Participants refine their performance of all six strokes (front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary breaststroke, and side stroke) and increase the distances that they swim. Flip turns on the front and back will also be taught. Ages 7 to 14.
